Thousands of paws and feet pounded the pavement at the Dumb Friends League Furry Scurry on May 5, all to support homeless pets in the community. The 19th annual Furry Scurry—the largest walk for animals in the nation—was held at Denver’s Washington Park and drew a record crowd. More than 10,000 people and 5,000 dogs participated in the organization’s largest fundraiser.
The 2012 Furry Scurry was presented by Hill’s Science Diet, Banfield Pet Hospital, HomeAgain, King Soopers, Heartgard, Frontline and Amica Mutual Insurance Company. Pet lovers can still help needy pets by making an online donation through June 4 by visiting FurryScurry.org
